Dear Woman, Stop the Worrying

worries

As moms, we often catch ourselves wrapped up in daily worries like what to eat or what everyone will wear. But there’s a powerful message in Matthew 6:25 where Jesus tells us not to worry about these things. He points out that if God takes care of the birds, feeding them without their need to farm or save food, He will surely take care of us too. This verse asks us to focus more on living a good life and trusting God’s plan rather than stressing over everyday needs.

It encourages us to shift our focus from stress to faith, trusting that we’re supported beyond what we see.

This advice is comforting, especially in the busy life of being a mom. It encourages us to shift our focus from stress to faith, trusting that we’re supported beyond what we see. Embracing this can lighten our load of worries and bring more peace into our daily lives.

Believing in God’s provision helps us live in the moment and appreciate our time with family more. It teaches us—and our children—to rely on God’s generosity, love and care through all of life’s challenges. Showing this trust in God not only helps us feel less anxious but also shows our kids that true safety comes from faith, not from having everything under control.

So, let’s try to let go of those nagging worries and trust more. By focusing on faith over fear, we can enjoy our lives more fully and set a strong example for our kids that God is always looking out for us.
